Becoming a Member

Discovery/Membership Class

Discovery/Membership Class is offered to worshipers who wish to be received formally as regular members of Sabang Church of Christ Disciples. This Membership Class is offered throughout the year with schedule varying on the number of prospective members interested to join the church. Normally this is conducted for two Saturdays with sessions from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. after which participants are formally received during Sunday worship following the class. Lessons include the six articles of the UCCP Statement of Faith, Worship and Sacraments and Church History and ministries of SCCD.

The Communicants’ Class

The Communicants’ Class is offered during the first quarter of the year for 12-year old children whose infant dedication has to be sealed with water baptism. Classes are held for two hours on Saturday morning beginning January, culminating in a Retreat just before Maundy Thursday Communion Service where they take their First Communion. Water baptism is incorporated during the retreat activity with the parents and spiritual mentors witnessing it.

GETTING to KNOW OUR NEW MEMBERS – February, 2012

Two members were received on Feb. 26, 2012 during worship after attending the Saturday sessions of Membership Discovery Class. Let us get to know these two new members to the fold as we all together journey with them.

Joy Fauni was once an active churchgoer of SCCD in the old site. Driven by the Lord’s love and unending grace, Joy finds time to serve God through the ministry of women. She is now an active member of the Christian Womens Association (CWA) which she feels to be a community to her. Joy is blessed to have SCCD in her life.

Regina Mendez, mother to Kenneth and Argie Mendez. Regina has been with the community in the worship services and joyfully participates in the Christian Womens Organization (CWA) activities, one of which is the recently held retreat at Parcon’s Retreat House in Silang with the Theme: Paglago at Pagpapatuloy.
