Christmas celebrated jointly by DLA and SDCC staff. A separate Christmas fellowship was initiated by the DLA to include the Coop (SDCC) staff particularly the canteen volunteers on December 15, 2011 at SCCD-DLA grounds. This was in response to Pastor Ronell’s noble desire of a joint Christmas fellowship that would also include the coop staff being a new and struggling ministry of the church. More preparation shall be given next year for this joint fellowship of DLA school personnel and church staff/volunteers in special ministries who are connected indirectly to the school, expanding it to include as well night guards. It will be recommended as an institutionalized program separate from the annual traditional DLA school personnel Christmas fellowship were benefits are given out during this time of the year as expression of gratitude and appreciation for their committed services in the DLA.
DLA gives out Christmas goody bags to personnel. The DLA management gave out P1,400.00 worth of goody bags to each of its fulltime personnel during the Annual School Personnel Christmas Fellowship on December 20, 2011, last day of classes for this year. The two-month’s rice allowance was also given out equivalent to about 10 kilos of perfumed, quality rice. Despite the economic crises, the DLA received P16,000.00 worth of cash donations from its suppliers, service providers and faithful friends adding to the color of the celebration. Donations in kind were given out as raffle prizes with electric fan, rice cooker, oven toaster as some of the major prizes. Many thanks to the following generous donors to the Christmas Fellowship.
