Highlight of Church Workers Activities 2011

 

Church Workers/ Pastoral Team attended specific seminar, invitation and Pastoral Care and Nurture namely:

Nueva Ecija Mission Trip and new partnership. The Mission Retreat of LCSMC Church Workers at NENEAC on Jan. 17-21, 2011. Joined in by SCCD’s three workers. A total amount of P13,750.00 was received from individual donors for this year’s CTE at Nueva Ecija.

Church Workers Sunday observed. The annual local observance of Church Workers’ Sunday in SCCD was held on Mar. 20, 2011 giving appreciation to all church workers from the fulltime pastors and staff to part time volunteer workers, eleven in all, saying a prayer for them by Elder Juliet Dayrit and simple gifts given.  The special offering which was incorporated in worship amounted to P3,108.00.  This will be channelled to the Church Workers Benefit Fund from where all fringe benefits shall be drawn.

Pastors Moving In and Moving Out. SCCD Pastors has moved in to a rented house in Greensborough owned by Ms. Noemi Soriano mother of Ruth Soriano whose husband is currently Pastoring a Local Church under LCSMC after two years of yearning and dwelling in the place owned by the Frani’s.

SCCD workers attend UCWO GA. The six Conference Recognized church workers of SCCD/DLA attended the Annual General Assembly of the LCSMC UCWO on Apr. 4-6, 2011 at Bahay Puti, Sariaya, Quezon.

Sending of official delegates to the 13th Annual Session held at UCCP Buenavista on May 19-20, 2011. Elder Miriam Gerero and Anjell Samonte represented SCCD.

SCCD Church Worker underwent further studies. Pastor Bea as endorsed by SCCD further her studies commencing EY 2011-2012 with approved action from the Church Council  and Lowland Cavite South Manila Conference during the 13th Annual Session. As of this writing Pastor Bea is enrolled to UTS under Doctor of Ministry Program.

SCCD participated in the Exchange Pulpit program of the LCSMC. The Mission Sunday observance on Aug. 28, 2011 with  Rev. Nolito Cababan of UCCP Anabu served as preacher at SCCD on that Sunday and Exchange Pulpit with UCCP Paliparan with Pastor Leonardo Baguhin as messenger to UCCP Sabang while Pastor Bea Hernandez was the one sent to UCCP Anabu and Paliparan as its preacher..
