School Board sets corporation membership classification. With the amendments in the DLA Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws confirmed by the members of the DLA School Corporation in a Referendum conducted on November 14, 2010, corporation membership classification had been set. These are regular, associate and honorary.  Regular Members are those who had been associate members for at least one year, had passed through a process of screening and had been formally recognized by the Board of Trustees.  They are qualified to vote and be voted upon. Associate Members are those who had been identified as potential contributors to the cause of the corporation and may be prepared towards regular membership. They have no voting powers. Honorary Members are those who belong to the roster of original incorporators but are not anymore in active participation in the affairs of the corporation and have signified withdrawal from membership. They have no voting powers.  Other important clauses were also included to comply with BIR requirements for tax exemption.  The amended document will be submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission this month.

Fencing done in restored creekside. After the eroded creek side was rehabilitated by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in August of this year, fencing works were done to secure the school perimeter.  A truck of soil filling materials was also dumped on the gap between the riprap and the irrigation canal that was threatening to cave in.  Though a small portion was still left unfenced at least 80% of the project had been completed.
