A poet once said that the world we live in is a fairyland of exquisite beauty. Indeed, it is! God made the world most beautiful place to live in for us, mortals.

Today, some if not many, get unmindful of the beauty around us. Beyond global warming, people are nervous and scared speaking of the end times. Yes, even Jesus, (Mark 13 : 24-32) speaks about the events that will unfold at the end times. Drought, famine, plague, wars, etc. will be the doom and gloom for every one of us.

Really and certainly, there is an end time. We are mortals. We will die. We can’t prevent aging and dying. You can delay the aging process because of the modern cosmetics and Vicki Belo! But death is unpredictable. It maybe sooner or later! And make no mistake, there’s an end time.

There are people who continuously talk and express their fear. Instead of focusing on the negative that will haunt and paralyze us, let us focus on solution and the joy of going home to the Father. Let us focus on the message. “Dwell not about catastrophes and destruction but God’s love and mercy.”

Unbelievers might say, “Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die”. In Matthew 6:34 it say “Do not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself. Each one has troubles of its own.” Sometimes, there are no solutions to our problems but once we yield everything to the Lord, God will take care of us.

Who’s not afraid of the end times? Yes, I am afraid. As a Christian, I rather love everyone and am ready to go home to my Father. I pray that God will prolong my life to love, to serve and to be worthy of Him. I am thankful and trusting that someday, I will see Yahweh sitting on His throne and Jesus at His right hand.

For the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1Thessalonians 5:2 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night “. Say “yes” to God as we go on in life. Remember Jesus is with us until the end of the ages.

Prayer: “Lord, teach me not to be afraid whatever comes. Teach me to wait patiently for You bring me home. Amen.
