Vacation Church School – April/May 2011
VCS 2011 focuses on Children’s Rights. The Vacation Church School 2011 is another attempt of the Council to accompany the churches in propagating and popularizing the United Nations Convention on the rights of the Child (UN-CRC) in ways that would help churches enrich and develop their Children’s Ministry Programs. The materials tales inspiration from the Council’s first engagement with the UN CRC in 1997 and how this have continuously challenged our strategies and methods in pursuing meaningful programs for children.
SCCD held VCS classes for two weeks in a row in the church premises and Simborio outreach. This year’s VCS participants totaled to about 300 kids and 25 volunteer teachers assisted by the CWA in snacks preparation and serving.
