Walking in Faith

Key Thought: Faith comes through hearing the word of God.

Key Scripture: “Now faith is the substance of thing hoped for, the evidence ofthings not seen… without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Heb. 11:1,6)

Prayer: Your Word, O Lord, unlocks the doors of faith for me to enter. Walking in faith is an exciting life style., full of adventure and peace. Thank you for your gift of faith in my life.

Increase my faith, Lord. When I pray for wisdom or any other thing, let me remember to ask in faith, nothing wavering. I realize, Lord, that he who wavers is lie a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Help me to remember that when my faith wavers, I cannot receive from you. But I am not one who cannot receive; I am a believer, not a doubter. When doubt comes, I cast it away because it exalts itself against God. But I will believe you, Lord, and not doubt. O Lord, I believe your Word. Help me root it out when unbelief tries to creep into my heart. Keep me, Lord, from becoming a double-minded. I choose to be single-minded, walking in faith with my eyes fixed on you.

Help me to remember that the just shall live by your faith. May I always have faith to more mountains, to realize that nothing is impossible to one who has faith. I look to Stephen’s example, Lord:  a man full of faith and power, doing great wonders in your name.

Thank you for showing me that whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Let me see the wonderful relationship that exists between faith, holiness and happiness. Bless me, Father, as I follow the course of faith.

It is my desire, Lord, to continue in your faith, grounded and settled, and to not be moved away from the hope of the gospel. Keep me steadfast in my faith, Lord, walking in Christ and rooted and built up in Him. Establish me in the faith; let me always abound in thanksgiving for your great gifts to me. You have revealed yourself to me in so many ways – through your Word, your Spirit, and the changes you’ve wrought in my life. I believe in you with all my heart and I will walk in faith each day, for faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

Help me express my faith through love for that demonstrates that my faith is real.

When trial comes, and Lord, I know my faith in you will see me through. It is wonderful to realize that the trial of faith is much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried by fire. May I be enabled by your grace to withstand the trials of life in such a way that my faith will be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of my Lord Jesus Christ.
